Summer Institute in Applied Linguistics

The summer institute in applied linguistics is an initiative of the Center for Language Acquisition that brings leading scholars in applied linguistics to Penn State University (university Park Campus, State College, PA) to share their cutting-edge research by teaching courses in their area of specialization, delivering lectures, conducting workshops, and participating in formal and informal discussion groups. Courses are organized as 1-credit modules for which Penn State graduate credit can be earned and transferred to other institutions. Over a four-week period, approximately thirty courses are offered in addition to invited plenary lectures.  Participants may earn up to six graduate credits.
