RealPresenter is a plug-in for PowerPoint 97 which converts PowerPoint presentations (along with audio narration) into RealVideo files which can be viewed over the Internet. Using RealPresenter is simple – once you start the plug-in, you run through your presentation as you normally would. RealPresenter runs in the background recording audio and video.

Usage Notes:

• Try to keep your fonts small to keep the size of the presentation down (this will make it stream more efficiently)
• Speak clearly into the microphone
• Transitions and animations will not be recorded by RealPresenter. Text, graphics and charts are used, however.

1. From the Slide Show menu, choose Record Narration.
2. Make sure that Quality is set to Radio Quality and that you have enough disk space to record your presentation
3. Make sure the check box next to Link narrations in: is selected and points to X:\tifle\presentations\your_student_id_here (i.e. X:\tifle\presentations\dvm105)
4. Click Ok. The first slide of your presentation will appear
5. Give your presentation. Remember to speak clearly into the mic.
6. When you are done, you will be asked if you want to record slide timings. Click Yes.
7. Click Yes to review the timings.
8. Save your presentation in X:\tifle\presentations\your_student_id.
