PROCEDURE LIST FOR IMAGE SCANNING (MACINTOSH)

• Logon
• Double-click on folder called Image Processing (which is in Software folder)
• Double-click on Adobe Photoshop
• Under FILE menu, go to IMPORT, and then TWAIN ACQUIRE
• Desk ScanII will open automatically
• Insert your disk. Put your picture face down in upper right hand corner of scanner. Align edges of picture with edges of glass area.
• In Desk Scan II, make sure that:
• Type = Sharp millions of colors
• Path = Screen
• Adjust outer edges of dotted line to include area you want to scan
• Click on  button for automatic brightness and color adjustment
• Click on FINAL to start scanning the area within dotted line
• In Photoshop, double-click on magnifying glass icon in tool palette to see how big image really is (it should read 100% at top of image window). Use cropping tool to cut away any remaining parts of image that you do not want.
• Save the image as yourname.jpg on your floppy. Be sure to select JPEG under Format in box that appears. Click on OK and then OK again to save.
