Students eligible to receive a Humanities Dissertation Release may also apply to be designated a Gil Watz Dissertation Fellow with the Center for Language Acquisition. Watz Fellows receive a $1,000 research budget from the Center to support their dissertation research and make a presentation to the Round Table of the Department of Applied Linguistics. For more information and to apply, see: https://la.psu.edu/graduate-students/graduate-funding/

Students in the College of the Liberal Arts may only accept one internal fellowship award from the College or its affiliated Centers, Institutes, or programs in any given academic year.  Students receiving multiple award offers will be asked to select one.  Students are eligible to reapply or be nominated for other fellowship opportunities in subsequent years.
